What is thena?

Thena is a decentralized exchange using the AMM model built on BNB Chain . Thena is designed to be the liquidity provider for the entire BNB Chain ecosystem. Although, Thena only launched Mainnet on January 5, 2023, but TVL has already reached more than 150 million USD.

Thena's goal is to overcome the limitations faced by decentralized exchanges in the DeFi space. To achieve this goal, Thena will first become a liquidity provider for new projects in the BNB Chain ecosystem. 

Basically, Thena uses 2 AMM models, including:

• vAMM: This model is used by Uniswap to support trading of volatile assets such as BNB, ETH, etc.
• sAMM: The model Solidly uses to support Stablecoin pair transactions. 

These two models when combined at the same time will help users trade assets at the best price. 

Thena is developed based on Velodrome's entire Code for vAMM modeling and Solidly's Code for sAMM modeling. Although what constitutes Thena is available, the project still seriously checks and fixes errors. 

Thena's revenue comes from swap orders, when interacting with the Pool using the vAMM mechanism, the transaction fee will be 0.2%, and with the Pool using the sAMM mechanism, the fee will be 0 ,first%.

In addition, Thena also has a referral mechanism so that investors can receive additional transaction fees from the protocol, extremely attractive commissions from 5% to 12% of the fee of that transaction. Note that the transaction fee that the user receives depends on the level of the referrer. That is, if the referrer has a higher total trading volume, there will be a corresponding level. The higher the level, the higher the referral fee will be.

Mechanism of action

On Thena there are 3 main objects

• Traders: They mainly use Thena to trade crypto assets supported by this exchange. At the same time, they are also the ones who will pay the project a transaction fee.
