Launchpad ape16z is built with the intent of improving user experience, safety/security, and composability. After consulting with the Metaplex team and the Solana community, the project decided it would be best to leverage the existing candy machine infrastructure as a foundation. They've designed and implemented a number of key enhancements, and worked with OtterSec to identify and remediate potential vulnerabilities.
One of the core UX services/benefits is a seamless and configurable payment infrastructure. Any SPL standard token can also be accepted for payment. In addition, Crossmint allows Solana users to participate in the ecosystem using a traditional form of payment (credit card/bank account), seamlessly interacting with key services.
Ape16z has world-class advisors. These are the individuals the project has recruited to help startups and projects. Ape16z learns from the best and thinks about product, marketing, operational and legal challenges.
Why are web2 founders mentors? Building a product-market fit (PMF) is tough. Several projects have achieved PMF in web3. But there is still much more in web2. As more web3 is introduced to web2 builders, they will get more adoption. This benefits everyone.

Currently ape16z has launched its first NFT collection. And they can be traded on 2 NFT markets, Magic Eden and Hyperspace.

DK has been in the early stage technology investment business for four years. He started his journey with a well-known company based in San Francisco, helping to manage US$150 million in AUM and leading their venture arm in SaaS for enterprise, financial technology consumer and web3. He has been fortunate to invest alongside major companies on Sand Hill, including a16z, Founders Fund, Accel and Greylock.
He's been in the Solana space since its inception, made difficult by the likes of SolBears and Neonexus. He's also fortunate to be a part of other incredible communities.

Harambo has been involved in the crypto space for over nine years as both an investor and a builder. He has consolidated his investment experience, helping develop and execute investment strategies at a hedge fund and at an institutional asset manager with over $7 billion in assets under management.
He has experience consulting and raising capital for early-stage startups and is no stranger to the difficulties that builders face. He set out to create a platform that aligns excellent opportunities while increasing the success rate of developers, which in turn led to the birth of ape16z.

Raff has led the marketing and growth for many Web2 B2B SaaS products, leading them from pre-seed to acquisition stage. With a focus on advertising and digital presence, Raff worked with founders to build transforming brands.
Passionate about art, Raff is currently transitioning the Web3 meta to a beautiful aesthetic and clear branding. Raff has worked as creative director and art consultant on a wide variety of NFT collections.
